Our client’s goal was to modernize the classic craftsman color palette in a way that still felt an extension of history (and the house) while also standing out in their Capitol Hill neighborhood. We landed on a few simple tweaks that ultimately made this home shine like brand new! Rather than really deep and rich navy or forest green for the siding, we chose a more contemporary and unique teal. We chose a bright white with a hint of warmth to avoid an unwanted starkness, and we tinted down the classic red door to a luxurious burgundy. The final touch was to add in charcoal accents on the window sashing, already painted brick columns, and the porch stair risers. Our client couldn’t be more thrilled with the results and neither could we!
